Hey guys!!
Wow, I've totally abandoned this tip account. I'm soooo sorry! I miss tipping so much :'( I've just been super busy... That's my excuse for everything haha :P

Anyway, this tip is about making new friends!!!

♥ O1 ; IN YOUR CLASSES
- Ask people for pens and pencils - not often, but when you need them. If you're nice about it, you can prove to them that you're a cool person :)
- Group projects!! Take advantage of them - don't slack or just do minimum work as quickly as possible. Take time to talk to the people in your group :) This is actually how I made a lot of my friends in my classes this year!

♥ O2 ; EXTRACURRiCULAR ACTiViTiES
- Join sports, activities, anything where there's people! Then be active and involved, and talk to as many people as possible.
- Most schools have band, choir, color guard... Even if you're not sporty, there's tons of clubs you can do! You'll make new friends and also gain knowledge! :D

♥ O3 ; JUST TALK TO PEOPLE!
- You can just talk to people in the halls and stuff! Once you've met people, then you can say hey whenever you see them. You don't want to just ignore people!

♥ O4 ; PARTiES
- Whenever you go to a party, don't just stand in a corner with your friends, but try to meet new people or talk to people you haven't in a while!
- Parties are the perfect, non-awkward environment to strike up a conversation with someone you've bene meaning to talk to, outside of school. ♥

♥ O5 ; TEXTiNG
- Get people's numbers on your phone, so you can text them and build a friendship through that!
- Also, text people on their birthday and on holidays ♥ It'll put a huge smile on their face.
- Once you get close enough, you can ask them through text if they want to hang out with you. :)

Basically, you want to be as nice as possible! You won't want to miss any opportunities just because you acted unfriendly ♥ Who knows, anyone could become your best friend!! Don't worry about whether or not people will think you're creepy - when someone says hey to you, you're not creeped out, right? :)

Hope I helped! :)

♥ 3. Go to Starbucks :) They have amazing fall-y drinks, and everything tastes lovelier in fall :)

How to take Good Notes! ♥

How to take Good Notes! ♥

Hey guys! Sorry, I haven't made a tip in a while! I totally thought I published this, but I guess I was mistaken. :(

Well, I know that lots of you have started school this week or last week, so I wanted to make a school-related tip. I think everyone (including myself!) could use a little lesson in note-taking, so... Enjoy! ♥

♥ Use a header.
At the top of your page, always write your name, date and the subject. This keeps your notes from getting disorganized and/or lost. Your school might have a header that's required, or you can just come up with your own order.

♥ Headings and bullet points.
For some classes, you'll have to copy down from a board, but for others, you'll just have to write as the teacher is speaking. This can be really hard, because you have to listen, write, memorize, and organize at the same time! I use headers for general topics, and bullet points under the headers. Whenever the teacher starts talking about a new subject, I just make a new header.

♥ Charts and things.
Sometimes, especially in math and science, you'll need to add a chart or a diagram. Use a ruler when you need to draw lines, or else it can become sloppy and hard to read!

♥ Handwriting.
Rather than writing a lot of words super-fast, just jot down the key words that the teacher is saying. Since you'll be the only person who needs your notes, it doesn't have to make sense to anyone else, as long as you know what it means for when you study. There's no point of taking lots of notes if the writing is illegible.

♥ Studying.
Later on, when you study from your notes, don't just read over them. You can highlight, re-write the key points, or type up a study guide for the entire unit -- make sure you're studying actively, because it's hard to memorize just by reading.

'Kay, well that's it for now! I'll add more when I think of it ♥

Starting {and keeping} a journal! ♥

Starting {and keeping} a journal! ♥

Not the best set ever, but it'll do :) Quick tip, 'cause it's getting late here! Well, 11:00. :P

1. Get a good-quality journal.
Invest some money in a cute journal, with good-quality pages. If you like it, you'll be more inclined to write in it. I love Ecojot and Greenroom, because they're super cute and Earth-friendly! You can also DIY it, which I'll post a tip for later. :) Also, have nice pens that won't smudge.

2. Come up with a format for your entries.
I don't know about you, but I hate things that are inconsistent. Just come up with a header (i.e. the date and day of the week, or the date and the weather), an introduction (Dear Diary, Dear Journal), and an ending (Love, Lulu ♥).

3. Start writing!
Pour in your deepest feelings, or just keep it short. There are no rules as to how to journal! You can write poems, draw things... This is your space. Write whatever you want.

4. Keep it consistant.
Now that you have a journal, you'll want to keep writing in it! Try doing it every day, so you won't get backlogged. Set aside a time for it every day -- like right before bed, or right when you get home from school. It can be a really nice way to unwind and get everything off your mind before you go to sleep.

5. Keep it hidden!
Find a good hiding place for your journal, so nosy parents//siblings//friends won't read it. That way, you'll feel safe writing anything you want. Some good places are under some sweaters in your closet, behind your books in your bookshelf, under your mattress, or inside your pillowcase. If you feel safe leaving it out, that's fine, but I think hiding it is fun :)

Well, that's it for now! :) Just try to write everyday. You'll thank yourself later, when you can read back on all your entries! :D Hope I helped!

How to: Stop Procrastinating ♥

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't been online for a while, because I was away at camp and then I was just lazy :P My school doesn't start for another week though, so I'll be able to make some tips before BTS! :D

So, this tip should probably be directed at myself, because I'm a rather bad procrastinator. BUT, I'm trying to change that next year, so hopefully I won't be anymore! ♥

Now for the tip! :)
- Stay OFFLINE as much as possible. Try to do handwritten homework first - like math or worksheets - so you won't have it delayed by the computer.

- Obviously, you're going to have to use the computer at some point. Keep your browser turned OFF when you're just typing Word documents, and when you're using the internet, make sure to be logged out of Facebook, email, Polyvore etc.

- Keep your phone off or away from where you work, so that it won't be a distraction. It's not forever, just until you finish!!

- Take short, scheduled breaks to rest your eyes or have a snack, but don't go online! You'll just get sucked in. Wait until you're done with all of your work until you play!

Well, that's all I got! :) Be strict with yourself! You'll finish faster, and you'll thank yourself later. Remember, you have the power to turn your life around! ♥

Starting dance. ♥

Starting dance. ♥
@little-lulu-ladybug\\@a-tip-for-you

Hey girls! True to my word, I've been making more tips lately! I drafted a whole list of tips I want to make. Alsoo, if you have any requests, comment here!

Now for the tip:

♥ So, I'm no dance expert. I've taken a few dance classes in my life - 3 or so years of ballet and 4 years of modern-ish classes at school - but I wouldn't call myself a dancer. However, I took a dance class this summer (I haven't really danced for like 3 years) and I really loved it!
Although I'm probably not going to take ballet next year (I'm going after rhythmic gymnastics), I've noticed that a lot of people on the internet are asking about starting dance late. So, here are some things I gathered that may help you:

♥ It's never too late.
A lot of people my age - say 13, or 14 - think that they are too late to start dance, especially ballet. That's NOT TRUE. I am a firm believer in the idea that if one works hard enough, they can achieve anything -- Misty Copeland started at 13! Yes, when you start younger, you have more experience and flexibility, but you'll just have to work a little harder.

♥ Types of dance.
Now that you've decided to take dance -- what type of dance will you take? I'm just going to list a couple here:
- Ballet: classic french style. After many years of experience, dancers go en pointe - they wear pointe shoes, which allow them to stand on their toes. Ballet is very graceful and requires strength and flexibility. Although ballet companies look for a very specific body type, anyone can take recreational ballet classes.

- Modern: Many dancers started to rebel against the strictness and constraints of ballet in the early 1900's, and this genre was born. Modern is very free and often looks improvised, however, it can be very complicated. Modern dancers often have bare feet, and can start later in their teens.

- Jazz: Jazz consists of a lot of improvisation, and is a mix of different styles.

Others:
- Lyrical (my favorite ♥)
- Tap
- Ballroom
- Hip-hop
- Acro
- Folk Dance

Dance-like sports:
- Figure skating
- Rhythmic gymnastics

♥ Finding classes.
Now that you've decided you want to take dance -- where will you take it? The best place to search is the internet. Just google "{your hometown} {your chosen style of dance} classes." Many dance studios offer more than one type of dance, so you can try many different things!

♥ Contact them.
Once you've found your dance studio, look on their website for their email, and ask them about classes for beginners your age. Some studios might have them, and some may not -- you'll have to take a class with younger students, or find another place. Being in a class with younger students isn't bad, though, because you'll catch on quicker than them and move up to the next level fast. Don't be afraid to email as many places as possible -- you can even copy paste the same email to different studios.

♥ Paying for dance.
Dance classes can be expensive. Ask your parents first -- if they can afford it, it's fine. However, if your parents say no because of money reasons, find out which studios have financial aid. You can also hold some kind of fundraiser (i.e. a bake sale), and use the money for your classes.

♥ Preparing for your first class.
Finally! It's the beginning of the school year, and your class has started. Be sure to ask/find out what to wear - some classes will be very strict and tell you to wear, for example, black leaotards and pink tights - while some classes will be okay with shorts and loose t-shirts.
Be sure to bring water and healthy food to your class. Stretch daily, even when you don't have classes. Finally, try your best - work hard, and have fun!

Hope I helped!

DIY Necklace organizers! ❤

DIY Necklace organizers! ❤

So, up until about a month ago, my jewelry was all tangled up in a drawer. One day, it was just driving me crazy, so I decided to do something about it! ❤
Here is a step-by-step for my necklace organizer:

1. Buy cute, colorful pushpins. Make sure they have a ball or something at the end, and they're not just flat, or the necklace won't stay. ❤

2. Draw a line with a pencil where you want the necklaces to hang. Mine hang above my dresser, but they ca really go anywhere on your wall.

3. Push the pushpins in evenly -- one for each necklace you have. The spacing will depend on the amount of wall space and the number of necklaces you have. ❤

4. Finally, hang up your necklaces! One on each hook. Remember to put them back after you wear them! ❤
~
Tips:
- If you don't want to pole holes in your wall, just buy a strip of corkboard and glue it onto your wall. (you can just get a thin corkboard at staples, and cut it into strips).

- Also, if you don't want it on your wall, you can push the pushpins into the tip of a frame, like in the picutre, or on the wall of a cabinet.

Hope I helped! ❤

How to be Spontaneous ♥

How to be Spontaneous ♥

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't been on here in a while :) I should start making more tips! I noticed that a lot of {popular} tip accounts make 5+ tips a day! It's a little hard when you're running the account on your own, but...

Anyway. ♥ Here's your tip!
~

So, I'm a girl who likes routines. I wash my hair strictly every other day, I use about 7 products, in order, on my face every night, I have excersize and stretching plans and goals written down and saved on my desktop... But, although, I like being organized, sometimes it can get a little boring. Here are some tips to spice up your life.

1. Go for a walk.
Easy enough, right? Just walk out your door and wander wherever your legs take you. Don't get lost, but do some exploring! Go to a part of town you don't go to a lot, and keep your electronics switched off.

2. Do something that scares you every day.
If you do something that scares you every day - it doesn't have to be skydiving, it can just be like looking closely at a scary bug or texting your crush - you'll slowly become less anxious in general.

3. Talk to strangers.
No, not creepy looking strangers, or people who just pass by you on the sidewalk. But if there's someone your age who you don't know at school, or camp, talk to them and make you feel welcome.

4. Change up your routine.
Doesn't changing it up defeat the purpose of a routine? No. Actually, wearing the same makeup and hairstyle every day can be boring. Once in a while, wear a bright eyeshadow or lipstick, or wear your hair down instead of up. You'll probably get lots of compliments.

5. Give yourself what you want.
Not all the time - but sometimes you can indulge. If you want something, go buy it. If you want to eat something, eat it. If you want to call someone, call them. If you get an idea to do something -- go do it!

Spontaneity can make your life so much more exciting. Girls who are spontaneous are happier and more fun. I hope I helped! :)
